This is what the legendary group ABBA sang at the end of the 1970s. VIAGE would not be an entertainment temple if we didn’t also offer music.
In the past, we have welcomed several legendary national and international artists in our VIAGE Theatre. Names such as Vaya Con Dios, Toots Thielemans, Kool & The Gang, The Gibson Brothers, George Benson, Paul Anka, Level 42, they all provided us unforgettable evenings. Prince even performed there twice. With those glory days in mind, we are eager to give music its rightful place again.
Since Friday, May 27, DJ Maya Cox is our resident DJ in the Cinna bar. You can enjoy the various tunes she unleashes every Friday from 10pm to 2am. In 2016 she worked with us for the first time during the Downtown Afterwork that took place on Thursday nights. Now we pick up the collaboration again.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree
Maya Cox grew up in Ixelles as the daughter of a Brussels mother and Antwerp father. Daddy was a DJ. No wonder that the love for music was spoon-fed to her. Together with her cousin Caroline, the musical girl started the duo Moulinex's. Their very first booking was for Magazine ELLE, an absolutely unforgettable evening. From there, the duo went on to host their own parties, called CANDY BITCH, in Botanique with Isabeau Paape and in collaboration with Pure FM. Besides being a DJ, Maya is also a graphic designer as La soupe de Ginette.

DJ Maya Cox' musical starting points are mostly techno and tech-house. But she also likes to mix things up by going from one sonic universe to another. The more unusual, the better! She still likes to listen to the numerous cassettes she taped in the eighties and to her vinyl collection. Among them are absolute gems that still work today. Her preference has always been for music with an electronic element: computer, big bass, life-size vocals, dark and deep melodies. What she plays today is strongly influenced by those discoveries from her teenage years.
According to Maya, the key elements for a successful evening include good music, manic chaos and free spirits. This also involves a nice location and a high-quality sound system. You can now experience such a great night every Friday at VIAGE!
