Growing up in Swindon, England, with a guitar in his hand and a dream in his head, Hayward became the lynchpin of The Moody Blues in 1966. With more than 60 million albums sold and an influence spanning six decades, Hayward remains an icon in the music world.
Besides his work with The Moody Blues, Hayward also enjoyed success as a solo artist, including his contribution to Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds, where his song Forever Autumn became a world hit.
