From 16 to 19 June 2025, Europe’s top croupiers will converge on Casino Bregenz, Austria, to compete in the European Dealer Championship (EDC). Organised by the European Casino Association, this prestigious championship is not just about technical prowess but also centres around flair, customer focus and the art of hospitality at the gaming table.
During this period one of the top members of the VIAGE team will be unavailable. An internal selection process decided who will represent VIAGE in this high-profile competition: Henrietta Danyi. Born in Budapest in December 1990, she launched her career at VIAGE as a trainee dealer on 14 August 2017. Her talent and drive didn’t go unnoticed. In 2018 she became a junior dealer and in August 2019 she progressed to Dealer 2. Henrietta combines natural flair with craftsmanship. She embodies everything we stand for: professionalism, hospitality and a passion for the game. Her experience and charisma make her the perfect ambassador to represent VIAGE in Bregenz.
Host
The setting for this championship could hardly be more impressive. Situated on the banks of the Bodensee, Casino Bregenz offers a mix of sleek design, natural beauty and culinary refinement. Especially for this occasion, the gaming tables will be converted into a competition arena where precision, speed and presentation take centre stage. On this battleground, more than forty dealers from across Europe will pull out all the stops.
In 2023, VIAGE had the honour of hosting the EDC. The event not only marked a high point for our casino but also acknowledged the professionalism of our organisation and its staff. VIAGE keeps investing in training, talent development and international exchange. Our support for the EDC aligns with this vision.
Craftsmanship
The EDC is more than a competition. Since its maiden edition in 2007, the EDC has developed into one of the most respected events in the European gaming industry. Every year, dozens of hopefuls from over 20 countries face off in such disciplines as blackjack and roulette. But the championship is not merely about technical proficiency, or who can count chips the fastest or deal cards flawlessly. The participants are also evaluated on such qualities as presentation, attitude, communication with players, honesty, efficiency and knowledge of the game. It pays tribute to the professionalism, precision and customer focus that constitute the backbone of the land-based casino world.
Moreover, the EDC is a meeting place for professionals, casino operators and industry experts. At the EDC, professionals exchange knowledge, promote innovation and highlight outstanding talent from all over Europe. The championship underscores the importance of permanent training, high quality standards and ethical responsibility within the casino industry.
VIAGE is rooting for Henrietta and looks forward to an inspiring edition of the EDC in Bregenz.
