VIAGE has been nominated for the European Casino Awards 2026 in the Corporate Community Engagement Award category. The ceremony will take place on Monday, January 19, 2026 in Barcelona.
The European Casino Awards are prestigious honors presented annually to outstanding operators and suppliers from the British and European casino industry. They serve as a platform to recognize and reward the hard work, passion, and innovation of the gaming industry. The Corporate Community Engagement Award specifically recognizes European casinos that excel in social responsibility, sustainability, and innovation within the sector. The evaluation process is independent, with industry experts carefully assessing nominations and submissions.
Why VIAGE was nominated
VIAGE's nomination is based on our deeply rooted conviction that a casino must be more than just a place for entertainment. We see ourselves as a bridge between international entertainment and local engagement – firmly anchored in Brussels, with a heart for the city and its residents. This vision translates into concrete actions that make a measurable difference for everyone.
Cultural anchoring and local craftsmanship
VIAGE actively supports Brussels artisans and creative talents. A prime example: during our 15th anniversary, 86 long-serving employees received a beautiful piece of jewelry, handcrafted by Brussels-based Saskia. This initiative not only emphasized pride within the team but also gave a platform to local creativity.
Social engagement
Through a partnership with the Brussels Public Social Welfare Center (OCMW) under Article 60, VIAGE offers reintegration contracts to long-term job seekers to help them rebuild work experience and stability. Additionally, we collaborate with Actiris on the Brussels Diversity Label to make diversity and inclusion a structural part of our recruitment policy. Concrete result: in 2024, approximately one-third of new employees came from diverse or underrepresented groups.
Environment and sustainability
Our commitment reaches even further. VIAGE encourages environmental awareness among employees. Over the past two years, more than 15% of staff voluntarily participated in World Cleanup Day, collecting kilograms of waste in central Brussels.
Furthermore, all these sustainability efforts were recognized in 2024 with an EcoVadis Silver certification. This places the company within the top 25% of globally assessed companies. Our next ambition: achieving gold in 2025. Compliance with the UN Global Compact also confirms that VIAGE's initiatives align with internationally recognized ESG standards.
More than symbolism
VIAGE's nomination for the Corporate Community Engagement Award emphasizes that social responsibility is not a side issue for us. It forms the core element of our company identity. By actively involving employees, partners, and community initiatives, VIAGE positions itself as a force for culture, social justice, and sustainability in Brussels. Recognition by the European Casino Awards would not only honor VIAGE but also the many people and organizations working together toward a stronger, fairer, and more inclusive city.
