Swinging seventies
The season kicks off on 9 November with a tribute to one of the greatest rock bands of the 60s and 70s: Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). The British occasional all-star band Clearwater Creedence Revival revives CCR’s legendary hits in a spine-chilling tribute. Dream away to classics like ‘Proud Mary’, ‘Born on the Bayou’ and ‘Bad Moon Rising’ in a top-notch 90-minute show. Savour the nostalgia and swing along to the music that defined an entire generation.
All ablaze
In November we welcome back the Dreamboys, the original British striptease troupe. On 15, 16, 29 and 30 November they will present their new performance featuring a combination of dance, acrobatics and a variety show. Come and experience this two-hour epic fest of exhilarating music and titillating choreographies that will set the stage ablaze with a multitude of taut torsos to tease and please. The light show and set design have been further expanded and crowd participation is more prominent than ever. This fiery visual spectacle is an ironclad guarantee for an unforgettable evening!
Three-in-one for the 80s and 90s
In between, on 23 November, MIND2MODE is staging a unique tribute to three unique bands: U2, Depeche Mode and Simple Minds. 600 million albums sold and careers spanning four decades are condensed into a three-hour-plus show. This performance full of musical magic takes you back to the 80s and 90s with replicated costumes and faithful performances of indelible hits. The evening kicks off with Simple Minds and unforgettable tracks such as ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’ an ‘Alive & Kicking’. Dance along to the mesmerising electronic beats of Depeche Mode and hits like ‘Personal Jesus’ and ‘Enjoy the Silence’. Round off the evening with the phenomenal rock legacy of U2 and such classics as ‘Where the Streets Have No Name’ and ‘With or Without You’.
Grungy nineties
On 13 December autumn concludes in spectacular fashion with an homage to Nirvana by Aberdeen as they stage a reconstruction of the fabled MTV Unplugged concert. Formed by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic, Nirvana shot to fame overnight with ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ and became the flagbearer of the grunge movement. Aberdeen recreates this legendary music at The Viage in an acoustic concert that perfectly captures the atmosphere of that night in New York. The evening concludes with an electric concert, just like during MTV Live & Loud. Revisit the iconic music of Nirvana and experience the energy of a band that defined a generation.
