When you pay tribute to one of the most legendary bands in nu-metal history, you simply have to do it right. METEORA, the only Linkin Park tribute band in France and Belgium, fully embraced this mission.
Since their formation in 2015, the band have really made a name for themselves in Europe with sold-out shows and an unrivalled live experience.
METEORA excel with their dedication to detail and passion for music. This is no average tribute act, but a musical experience that brings every aspect of Linkin Park's legendary sound to life with unprecedented precision. METEORA brings to the stage the intense vocals and powerful guitar riffs, the electronic details and the raw emotion that made Linkin Park so unique.
Friends
A group of French childhood friends – Jia, Thibaut, Julien, Victor and Alexis – who had been playing music together since their school days, formed the band in Lille in 2015. With a shared love of rock and metal and a deep admiration for Linkin Park, they decided to create their own act to pay tribute to the band that shaped a generation. They attended another one of the band's gigs at Werchter just days before Chester Bennington's death in 2017, bolstering their mission even more.
Dutch Mitchell, aka Matt Se7en on YouTube, joined the group in 2023. His impressive Linkin Park covers attracted worldwide attention. His vocal resemblance to Chester Bennington is nothing short of stunning and instantly takes the audience back to Linkin Park's heyday.
More than a tribute
METEORA is not just about the music. It's about keeping Linkin Park's energy, emotion and heritage alive. They go beyond just playing covers. The band delve deep into the sound, live performance and energy that made Linkin Park so unique and even bring their own interpretations of iconic songs. In 2020, they went one step further by creating an original piece in the Linkin Park style of the ‘Hybrid Theory’ / ‘Meteora’ albums. The song, called ‘We Are Soldiers’, was created by the band in collaboration with fans around the world and was praised by numerous radio stations, including Classic 21.
Meanwhile, METEORA performed at iconic events such as Hellfest Cult and Halloween Tribute Fest, gracing stages in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Everywhere they play, they leave an indelible impression. Each show is an intense and immersive experience, where fans – the soldiers – come together to celebrate Linkin Park's legacy.
