Silver Becomes Platinum

Last March, VIAGE achieved the prestigious EcoVadis Platinum Medal. This places us among the top 1% of the world's most sustainable companies globally in the areas of environment, ethics, labour and human rights, and sustainable procurement.

EcoVadis assesses more than 130,000 companies across 180+ countries and is considered the international reference standard for ESG performance — Environment, Social, and Governance — across the entire business world. The evaluation is based on 21 sustainability criteria spread across four themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. This recognition is not awarded by EcoVadis itself, but by a fully independent external audit organisation, the Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4).In short, this is a recognition that demonstrates VIAGE maintains solid and structured sustainability practices — with policies, actions and results that are internationally acknowledged.

What does this mean for our visitors?

For our visitors, this recognition is first and foremost a reassurance. Our staff play a key role in this. The platinum score is a recognition of all their efforts. After all, it is them who translate policy into practice, day after day. Only a few years ago, we started with a Silver score and immediately pushed through to the very top: Platinum. Training programmes, internal communication and involvement in sustainability projects ensured this was never — and still is not — a one-way street. By continuing to build concrete improvements together, sustainability becomes something that is truly alive on the work floor.

Rooted in Brussels

With the Platinum EcoVadis score as a solid foundation, VIAGE aims to deepen its commitment further, closer to the city in which we are rooted. The direction is clear: keep improving, keep measuring, and above all, keep acting. As a Brussels company, with Brussels employees, we bear a responsibility towards our city. Through local partnerships and social initiatives, we contribute to the social and economic vitality of the region. At the same time, we are now setting our sights on achieving the Eco-dynamic Enterprise Label — the Brussels Capital Region's certification for organisations that systematically measure and reduce their environmental impact in the areas of energy, water, waste and mobility. A recognition, in other words, by and for the city that VIAGE calls home.The Platinum Medal is not a finishing line for us, but a motivation to keep raising the bar. We continue to look at ourselves critically, identify areas for improvement, and translate them into new actions and objectives.
