Brussels has gained a unique winter experience! On the roof of VIAGE, the Chalet d’Altitude was opened, a pop-up that combines the conviviality of an alpine chalet with a spectacular view of scintillating Brussels.
The Chalet d’Altitude brings the atmosphere of a cosy alpine chalet to the roofs of our capital. With a breathtaking 360° view of an enchantingly illuminated Brussels, this is the perfect place to experience the festive season.
VIAGE’s roof has been a hotspot before with La-Haut VIAGE. This year we’ve chosen a wintry theme. The space was transformed into an authentic chalet, complete with an attractive wooden interior, warm lighting and decorations that evoke the homely ambiance of a mountain chalet. For the realisation we renewed our collaboration with LO Group.

Since 2017 these event experts have become key players in Brussels’ city life. The Chalet d’Altitude infuses the rooftop with new life during the winter months. Another top secret project is scheduled for the summer of 2025...
Congeniality meets good taste
The Chalet d’Altitude is not just about atmosphere and a wonderful view; the culinary experience takes centre stage. On the menu are winter classics that call to mind winter slopes, mountains and snow. Think steamy fondue, creamy raclette, hearty tartiflette and hissing stone grills. These dishes pair perfectly with a Belgian beer, warm Glühwein or seasonal wine. If you have a sweet tooth and are partial to local flavours, we have jenevers with surprising aromas such as waffle, cuberdon and red fruit. One thing is certain: this will be a dining experience that keeps you warm, even on the coldest winter days.
Winter fun at altitude
Whereas the stalls of Winterpret – Brussels’ world-famous Christmas market – close at 10 p.m., the festivities atop the roof of VIAGE start at 4 p.m. and continue until 2 a.m., making it the perfect location for an après-ski-style after party. When night falls, the chalet’s warm and welcoming atmosphere invites visitors to prolong the winter fun for just a little while longer. Visitors are inspired to surrender to the wintry ambiance and dance to unforgettable hits. The view of Brussels by night is breathtaking and gets your perfect evening within the walls of VIAGE off to a perfect start. It may be a good idea not to wait until full dark to drop by because the magical moment when the lights of Brussels start to twinkle will add another dimension to your visit!
