On Saturday evenings the CINNA Bar at VIAGE is often transformed into the epicentre of exciting DJ sets. As from 10 p.m. the beats pound the walls of our famous bar. Here’s a line-up of renowned DJ’s you won’t want to miss.

Over the past fifteen years, Brussels DJ and producer DJ Septik has built an impressive career on the international music scene. His music is a dynamic fusion of dancehall and electronic influences, sometimes supplemented with dubstep elements. He primarily owes his reputation to his ‘SlowBounce’ shows and parties.
Founding ‘SlowBounce’ radio - an online dancehall platform with a loyal worldwide audience - bolstered his international prestige. ‘SlowBounce’ is aired internationally and its reach continues to expand with listeners from the Caribbean region, Europe, North America and Oceania. Our DJ has hosted a slew of prominent guests on his platform including Spice, Aidonia, Rohan Marley, Capleton, Big Sean, Jah Cure and Sizzla.
With some of these artists he also collaborated as a producer, earning him a Grammy Award in 2016 for Best Electronic Album for his contribution to the track Jungle Bae by Diplo and Skrillex on the ‘Jack Ü’ album. The next DJ was also rewarded for his contribution to the same album. DJ Jay Spar gained worldwide recognition thanks to his contribution to the single Where Are Ü Now off the same album.
With a career spanning more than two decades and as a performer, producer and mentor, DJ Jay Spar is also a global influence on emerging artists. His keen ear for talent catapulted him to the forefront of the music industry. He was one of the first DJs to spin Stromae’s global hit Alors On Danse, contributing to the track’s international breakthrough. This singular ability to recognise trends and talent has resulted in collabs with household names such as Redman, Konshens, Bunji Garlin, DJ Snake, Skrillex and Diplo.
With a focus on innovation and a profound understanding of the music industry, Jay Spar remains one of the most influential figures in electronic music. His unique mix of experience, talent and dedication to his art make him a driving force on the contemporary music scene as well as a popular favourite at festivals and in clubs. As an artist he possesses the special gift of blending a variety of music genres in a seamless, danceable mix that feels new and nostalgic at the same time.

Master of the turntables
Louvain native DJ Dysfunkshunal is generally considered one of Belgium’s leading turntablists. His unique style effortlessly combines old and new school hip hop, R&B, trap, twerk, dancehall, reggae, soul and funk. On top of this, he boasts exceptional turntablist skills that set him apart on the DJ scene. As the founder of the Killa Tactics DJ crew, DJ Dysfunkshunal has performed worldwide, participating in prestigious DJ competitions in cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Paris, London and Amsterdam. Five Belgian ITF and DMC titles, the ITF Benelux championship in 2000 and twice a world championship runner-up: his track record speaks for itself.
The DJ that will turn the CINNA Bar on its head has featured at prominent events such as UrbaNice in Sportpaleis Antwerpen, Laundry Day and Club MTV, as well as in various high-profile clubs. In addition to his DJ career, Dysfunkchunal also works as a producer, with over 100 scratch contributions to his name.
Brussels ray of sunshine
Growing up with five older sisters exposed DJ iNess to a gamut of music styles and eras. This diverse musical background enabled the Brussels native with Moroccan roots to develop her own signature style she herself describes as sunny, funky and authentic. Her goal is to use music as a means of bringing people together and creating a convivial atmosphere that helps the listener tap into new aspects of themselves. As a resident DJ at BRUZZ, the beating heart of local radio in Brussels, iNess hosts her own show twice a month, featuring an eclectic mix of genres ranging from R&B and hip hop to afro, neo soul, funk and house. Her radio programme reflects her personal history and world views as the listeners tag along on a musical road trip that is both invigorating and introspective.
Her DJ sets are also known for how they simulate the warm and loving embrace of the sun, with every note a soft caress to the senses.
Old school beats, modern grooves or a mix of both, it’s all in the cards when DJ iNess rules the stage. All DJ sets start at 10 p.m. but feel free to come a bit early to sample the delicious cocktails and convivial ambiance. Culinary enthusiasts will be happy to learn that the VIAGE GRILL gourmet restaurant is open until the wee hours. Entertaining is in our DNA!
